In the Name of God Amen in witness do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament
Imprimis
I give and bequeath to my first son John Otto Baijer fifty pounds for mourning
And whereas the said John Otto Baijer hath by Deed only executed and recorded in the Island of Antigua bearing date the eleventh day of May one thousand seventeen hundred and forty five covenanted to pay to my Executors Administrators and Advisors the sum of four hundred pounds lawful money of Great Britain on the Royal Exchange in the City of London within six calendar months after my decease in lieu of what my Representatives may have or claim out of the crop of sugar canes then growing on his plantation in the said Island by virtue of any act of the said Island I do therefore hereby give and assign the said sum of four hundred pounds to my two Nephews Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver and to the survivor of them and to Administrators of such survivor in Trust to receive all interest that shall grow out of the said sum of four hundred pounds until the same shall be paid into their Hands And when the said sum of four hundred pounds shall be paid into their Hands In Trust to invest the same in some Government or other good Securities and in either case to apply all Interest or Dividends that shall grow from them towards the maintenance and education of my Grand Daughter Harriot Daughter of my son Richard Otto Baijer until she shall attain the age of twenty one years or be married which shall first happen and from and immediately after she shall attain the said age of twenty one years or be married In further Trust to pay or assign the said principal sum of four hundred pounds to my said Grand Daughter Harriot for her own use for ever But in case my said Grand Daughter shall happen to die before she shall attain her said age of twenty one years and unmarried then I will that the said Trustees or the survivor of them or their Executors or Administrators of such survivor do and shall release my said first son his Heirs Executors and Administrators from all claims and demands for the said sum of four hundred pounds in such manner as he shall require but at his own proper expense And I give and bequeath to my said son Richard twenty five pounds for mourning And I give and bequeath to my said Nephews Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver the sum of five hundred pounds lawful money of Great Britain to be paid them immediately after my decease In Trust to invest the same in some Government or other good Securities and to pay all Interest and Dividends that shall grow out therefrom to my said son Richard by half yearly payments for and during the term of his natural life and so proportionately for any life time than a compleat half year that he shall happen to live and from and immediately after his decease In further Trust that they the said Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver or the survivor of them or their Executors or Administrators of such survivor so said shall pay and assign the said principal sum of five hundred pounds to my residuary Legatee herein after named for her own use for ever And whereas my late son Rowland Otto Baijer deceased by Deed only in his life time and recorded in the said Island of Antigua bearing date the seventh day of November one thousand seven hundred and forty nine covenanted to pay my Executors Administrators or Assigns the sum of two hundred pounds lawful money of Great Britain on the Royal Exchange in the City of London within six calendar months after my decease in lieu of what my Representatives may have or claim out of the crop of Sugar Canes then growing on his plantation in the said Island by virtue of any act of the said Island I do therefore hereby give and assign the said sum of two hundred pounds to my said Nephews Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver and to the survivor of them and to the Executors and Administrators of such survivor In Trust to receive all Interest that shall grow out of the said sum of two hundred pounds until the same shall be paid into their Hands and when the principal sum of two hundred pounds shall be paid into their Hands In Trust to invest the same in some Government or other good Securities and in either case to retain in their Hands all Interest or Dividends that shall grow out therefrom until the same shall be sufficient to place and apprentice my Grandson John Candler son of my late Daughter Sarah Candler deceased or otherwise to prefer him in the World as the said Trustees think proper But if no such occasion shall happen then to retain all such Interest or Dividends in their Hands until he shall attain his age of twenty one years and from and immediately after he shall attain his said age of twenty one years In further Trust to pay or assign the said principal sum of two hundred pounds and all Interest and Dividends remaining in their Hands to my said Grandson for his own use for ever But in case my said Grandson shall happen to die before he shall attain his said age of twenty one years then I will that the said Trustees or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor do and shall release the Heirs Executors or Administrators of my said son Rowland from all Claims and Demands for the said principal sum of two hundred pounds in such manner as they shall require but at their own proper expense And as to the Interest or Dividends there remaining in their Hands In further Trust to pay or Assign the same to my residuary Legatee herein after named for her own use for ever Now I give and bequeath to my sister Ann Watkins fifty pounds for mourning And lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate subject to my debts and to the charges of my funeral which I desire may be very private I hereby give devise and bequeath to my dearly beloved Daughter Mary Otto Baijer whom I hereby nominate and appoint sole Executrix of this my Will

Memorandum

That of Frances Murray of Wimpole Street in the County of Middlesex Widow

I hereby declare this to be a Codicil to my last Will and Testament bearing date the seventeenth day of August one thousand seven hundred and sixty five

Whereas I have by my said Will given the sum of five hundred pounds to Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver in Trust to invest the same in Government or other good Securities and to pay all Interest and Dividends thereon to my son Richard during his natural life and after his decease to pay and assign the said principal sum of five hundred pounds to my Executrix and Residuary Legatee therein named Now I do hereby confirm the said Trust for the benefit of my said son Richard during his life But I do hereby revoke the said further Trust whereby I gave the Reversion of the said five hundred pounds after the death of my said son to my Executrix and Residuary Legatee therein named and instead thereof do hereby give and bequeath the said five hundred pounds after the death of my said son to Richard Oliver and Thomas Oliver and to the Executors and Administrators of such survivor In Trust to pay all Interest and Dividends received equally among the children of my said son by his present wife for their subsistence until they shall respectively attain their age of twenty one years and then to pay and assign the share of each such child in the said five hundred pounds to them on their attaining that age But in case of the death of all such children of my said son by his said present wife who shall not live to attain that age then I give and bequeath the said five hundred pounds with Interest and Dividends thereon after the death of such children provided they all shall die before they attain the said age of twenty one years and after the death of my said son - unto my Daughter Mary Otto Baijer her Advisors and Assigns for ever

Item I give and bequeath to my said son Richard the additional sum of twenty five pounds for mourning making in the whole fifty pounds And I do hereby ratify my said Will and appoint my said Daughter Mary Otto Baijer sole Executrix and Residuary Legatee

In witness whereof I have to this my Codicil and to a Duplicate thereof set my Hand and Seal this first day of May one thousand seven hundred and eighty
