Nuncupative will dated 8 September 1659; proved 30 July 1660


Memorandum that on or about
the eighth day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred ffifty and nine Honor Garland late of Marwood in the County of Devon widdow deceased being then of perfect mind and memory declared her last Will and Testament nuncupative or by word of mouth in these or in the words in effect as followeth viz ffirst she did give and bequeath unto her grandsonne Mr John Garland all her Timber Stuffe within doors her greate Chestes and her greate pann Alsoe she did give & bequeath unto Margarett Stanbury Anne Ffosse and Elizabeth Scampe her three Servants fforty shillings a piece Alsoe she did give and bequeath unto her Sonne in Lawe Mr Arthur Chichester’s Daughter Elizabeth ffifty poundes Alsoe she did give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Dannell twenty shillings Alsoe she did give and bequeath to Margarett Ffairchilde fforty shillings Alsoe she did give and bequeath unto her Servant John Ffairchilde thirty shillings a yeare to provide him cloathes during his life All the rest of her goods and chattells she did give and bequeath unto her sonne Roger Garland these words or words to the like effect she did utter and declare in the presence and hearing of Credible witnesses whose names are hereunder Subscribed
