Rachel, Countess of Bath (1612-1680) married 1st Sir Henry Bourchier 5th Earl of Bath (1587-1654), and 2nd Lionel Cranfield 3rd Earl of Middlesex (1625-1674). She was daughter of Sir Francis Fane (1580-1628) and Mary Mildmay (1581-1640), and aunt of Frances Fane who married John Giffard (1639-1712), from whom Mary Emma Sercombe (1859-1922) is directly descended.
