James Tree (1887-1969) and his family lived in Howden for a few years during and immediately after the Great War. His three children, Ulundi (1914-1914), James Morris (b.1917) and George (b.1920) were all born there. His sister May (1890-1983) also stayed there to have her baby Olive Cottrell Tree in 1914.
